Today 13th April 2020, food relief materials was send down by Rivers State Government to help citizens along ikokwu axis around odunze street for sit at home Lock down due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The food relief materials includs

Yam
Rice
Carton of indomie
Supergette

Which was conveyed with a small bus was said to have left with majority of the food material after distributing some few quantity due to outburst of aqurement, dragging and fighting.

The hall was stuff and ventilation was minimal.

Mr Matthew express deep anger as the food item was with held from sharing by the distributors

The crowd got angry and started dragging the food items and the rice bags burst and spilled

Another eye withness express deep anger as He said the food sharing was baised and the strong was oppressing the weak ..

Looking at the mode of distributing of the food item, in rivers state we believe its a wrong approach..

We kindly advice the state government to use another means of disbursement.

It can create a registration portal for every residents of rivers state to fill online with address and name.

Empower volunteers with government vehicles and few security personnel who shall distribute this food items base on data collected by the portal to the different district by names and addresses

This will ensure proper distribution of food relief materials to districts and cover virtually all areas in ph city and Rivers State at large.

 It's was confirmed to had happened at 4pm today 13th Oct 2018 in odunze street Mile 3 Diobu Area.

 Some groups of hoodlums was draging the car steering with the driver based on the fact that he should pay them 200 naira for packing his car,

 The driver refused to oblige to there request and this resulted to the accident..
The car jumpass the gutters and destroy part of the shop.

The shop owner was badly injured as one of his leg was broken and the bone was smashed out.. the injured man has been rushed to the Hospital unconscious. And we hope he makes it alive...
